Notification and immunisation links


Notification requirements for clinicians vary depending on your jurisdiction and whether the case of HBV is acute or chronic: see your State or Territory below for details.


Notification of acute and chronic HBV by is required by laboratories in all States and Territories.

 

Immunisation is provided free for certain groups at risk by a number of State and Territory Governments and can be ordered by GPs through your health department. Provisions vary according to jurisdiction and risk group - see your State or Territory below for details and for information on accessing vaccine.


Immunisation for household contacts of those with HBV is provided free in all states and territories.
